The Washington Conference Outreach Ministries Department is inviting each of you to its first of three major training and fellowship events! We invite pastors, community service, outreach leaders, and ANYONE with a heart to serve and share Christ in your community to come and be blessed and inspired by what God is doing all around us. Hear about the creative ways our churches are serving, explore current opportunities to become engaged, and learn field-tested ways to develop or grow self-sustaining and viable ministries where you serve! Lunch will be served!

Outreach Ministries oversees humanitarian ministries including Community Service, Disaster Response, Prison Ministries, thrift stores, food and clothing distribution and more. Its Director, Derek Lane, is an ordained pastor, strategic planner, grant-writer, and fundraising consultant . He has helped launch over a dozen agencies and written or co-authored over $20 million in grants and resources for community and faith-based organizations. He has served in many facets of the philanthropic sector including as a volunteer, executive director, board member, and donor. He has a passion for training leaders and growing the capacity of community and faith-based organizations.
